Phat Efx Master Academy is a women-centered nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women through career training, entrepreneurship education, and personal development rooted in the beauty industry. We serve women who have experienced systemic barriers such as foster care involvement, economic hardship, trauma, limited educational access, or lack of family support. Our mission is to provide women with the tools, confidence, and resources needed to achieve economic independence and long-term stability.

Our Mission

Through programs such as From Behind the Chair to CEO, we offer hands-on beauty training combined with business development, financial literacy, mentorship, and leadership coaching. This holistic approach helps women translate marketable skills into sustainable careers and business ownership.

Monika Diaz - Founder, Executive Director

Monika Diaz is a visionary beauty salon owner, educator, and community service leader whose work blends artistry, entrepreneurship, and purpose. As the founder of Phat Efx Master Academy, she has dedicated her career to empowering foster youth, teens, and young adults through beauty education, workforce training, and mentorship.

With decades of hands-on experience as a salon owner, Monika understands the beauty industry from the ground up—from behind the chair to the boardroom. She uses that real-world knowledge to teach students not just technical skills, but confidence, professionalism, and how to build sustainable careers and businesses of their own.

Beyond the salon and classroom, Monika is deeply committed to community service. Through Phat Efx Master Academy, she creates safe, supportive pathways for underserved individuals to transform their lives, gain employment, and become leaders in their communities. Her mission is rooted in belief, self-respect, and opportunity—using beauty as a powerful tool for economic mobility and personal transformation.
